Regional and State Winners
The Ohio Youth Governor's Art Exhibition took place on March 7th, 2026. There were 5,787 entries from high school students grades 9-12 from across the state with 1167 regional winners. Our region had 420 entries and 82 artworks were selected as regional winners . Congratulations to Bella Glorius, Mariah Huerte, Garrett O'Quin, and Kennedy Howard for being selected as Regional Winners. Their artwork advanced to state judging.
State judging occurred on March 14th. Regional winners were judged again and state winners were selected for three different art exhibitions, the Top 250, the Top 25, and the Cameo Show. Congratulations to Kennedy Howard for being selected as a state winner in the top 250 artworks with her artwork, Scraping Away.

The Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition (OGYAE) is a statewide program that celebrates and supports talented high school artists from across Ohio. It gives students the chance to share their artwork, challenge themselves through a juried exhibition, and gain real experience that can help them grow as artists and explore future opportunities in the arts.
The exhibition is open to students from all Ohio high schools, including public, private, and charter schools approved by the Ohio Department of Education. Students have the opportunity to submit original artwork and experience the process of entering a juried art exhibition.
OGYAE provides young artists with valuable opportunities to grow—whether through scholarship awards, professional recognition, or simply gaining experience participating in a competitive art show. The exhibition encourages creativity, confidence, and an appreciation for the arts while highlighting the high level of talent and art instruction found throughout the state of Ohio.
